How it all started

Process Control Services (PCS) was started in the year 2021 as the outcome of a company merger. President Wade Mathis was not new to entrepreneurship so when the opportunity presented itself he decided to put in the work to develop a team of experts willing to work hard at what they do while still having fun. PCS cultivates an environment that not only suggests creativity, hard-work, and responsibility, but rewards it and supports it. Every employee at PCS is allowed a yearly budget for continued education.

How it’s going

Process Control Services has grown exponentially in the past years, establishing a foothold in the Water and Waste Water industry as not just a small systems integrator but a nimble one that is capable of responsiveness and quality that gets lost with larger entities. We think of our clients more as friends, and we look forward to every being able to help our “friends”.

FWRC 2026

Process Control Services (PCS) was proud to attend the Florida Water Resources Conference (FWRC) 2026, where we had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and showcase our latest technology.

At this year’s conference, we featured our SmartComm RTU, a reliable and powerful solution designed to enhance remote monitoring and control for water and wastewater systems. Attendees were able to see how SmartComm RTU improves system visibility, responsiveness, and overall operational efficiency.

We also introduced our newest product, the SmartComm UI—a modern interface that eliminates the need for a traditional HMI screen. With SmartComm UI, operators can fully monitor and control lift stations directly from a phone browser, configure PLC settings in real time without a programming cable, view live alarms, and manage pump HOA control. The platform also provides live analog input readings with engineering unit scaling, along with access to cellular modem signal strength and GPS data, giving operators complete system insight from anywhere.

FWRC 2026 was a great opportunity for PCS to demonstrate how we continue to innovate and support the evolving needs of the water industry. We appreciate everyone who stopped by our booth and look forward to building on these connections.
